Mars 2012

Here are some sketches of the 2012 Mars opposition. The weather was cooperative, so I could nearly draw a complete turn of Mars during one mounth, by observing each night at the same time. There were often clouds on high relief (Olympus Mons) or even on Syrtis Major shortly after sunrise on Mars. the scope used is a Meade Lighbridge 16 with a bino with 20mm eyepieces and a 4X powermate:
